Web conferencing refers to a service that allows conferencing events to be shared with remote locatins. It is used for conducting live meetings, training, or presentations via the Internet. Web conferencing first appeared in the late 1990s with products such as PlaceWare, Microsoft’s NetMeeting and IBM’s Sametime.
