A social network is a social structure made up of individuals (or organizations), which are tied (connected) by one or more specific types of interdependency, such as friendship, kinship, common interest, financial exchange, dislike, sexual relationships, or relationships of beliefs, knowledge or prestige. It can be any website designed to allow multiple users to publish content themselves. The sites typically allow users to create a “profile” describing themselves and to exchange public or private messages and list other users or groups they are connected to in some way.
