A suitcase equipped with camera sensors and Bluetooth using a smartphone app to keep close track of the passengers is designed by the Israeli company NUA Robotics, and its market launch is planned for the end of the year.
The suitcase, still in the prototype stage, has the ability to detect the user’s proximity and avoid obstacles while moving. Its speed is currently limited to 5 km/hour, the idea being to exceed this rate in the future.
It will have a rechargeable battery lasting between 60 and 90 minutes, and it will be able to charge different electronic devices via its USB port.
In addition, the suitcase has a special alarm that prevents theft, as well as a system for sending information to the owner’s smartphone in real time, like its weight or location.
