In September 2016, Marriott International took over the company Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
Merging of these hotel chains has led to merging the brands Courtyard, Ritz Carlton and Marriott with Sheraton, Westin and W and St. Regis.
From now on, under the auspices of Marriott, there will be 30 hotel brands with more than 5,700 facilities and 1.1 million rooms in more than 110 countries.
According to the capacities that it will have on disposal, Marriott International will be the largest hotel chain in the world.
