The first regatta programme is scheduled for 30 June under the slogan ‘Anything’s Possible’, for the disabled. This regatta lasts two days featuring socializing, fun and enjoying the beautiful river. Camp fire, recreation, sports games and entertainment is what the atmosphere is made of in the camp set up particularly for this event. It largely contributes to promoting tolerance and equality among people and as such it is unique in Europe. This regatta is followed by ‘Students’ Regatta’, from 12 to 15 July, to be held for the second time, and it is a sort of overture for the major ‘Drina Regatta’. From 19 to 21 July, the programme features ‘Drina Regatta Bajina Bašta 2012’, with its 19th issue in a row. This is the most visited event in west Serbia and the central water event. Day one features ‘Perućac Marathon’, a swimming competition and fish soup competition near the small river of Vrelo. The following day includes ‘Competition Regatta’, from Perućac to Bajina Bašta and dives from the Drina bridge which connects Bajina Bašta and Skelani in the Republic of Srpska. At the plateau of the confluence of the Rača into the Drina, there is a music event held named ‘Most-fest’ (Bridge-Fest), and at the city square – Health and Recreation Fair. Throughout a year, Serbia is home to around 1,500 different tourist events, with ‘Drina Regatta’ in Bajina Bašta officially ranked among top three events.
