Within the next three years, Herceg Novi in Montenegro will see the construction of the luxury resort Portonovi, which could be compared with the resorts in Monte Carlo.

The resort will cover an area of 24 ha and will offer 550 rooms, villas and apartments, as well as a wellness center, two yacht marinas, a large sand beach with 900 sun beds and a congress center for up to 800 participants.

Besides the accommodation units, the resort will also have as many as 20 cafés, bars, and restaurants and some 250 shops.

Portonovi will be the first “One and only” resort in Europe, whose architecture will blend in with the old school Montenegrin seaside architecture and will defy modernistic trends with its traditional red roofs and white stone walls.
