Esplanade, Zagreb’s most prestigious hotel, opened its doors in the 2004, after a complete refurbishment, renamed into “The Regent Esplanade Zagreb.”
Since 2004 Regent brand  showed different growth rates, so that hotel was eventually sold to Formosa International Hotels from Taiwan. However, growth has not been achieved in accordance with the guidelines of the Esplanade and hotel owners, and was made the decision that hotel becomes  independent.

Esplanade will from 1^st October 2012 operatie under the name Esplanade Hotel Zagreb.
