Modern Serbian ski resort marked the celebration of the Orthodox New Year with an interesting music program and a gala dinner named Balkanski užitak. Lamb, beans pumpkin, belmuž, bob, trkanica, and various kinds of pies, were only part of New Year’s dishes, which are prepared for decades in these parts of country. All guests enjoyed in covers of Saban Bajramovic’s Roma music, performed by Black Mamba band, until the early morning hours.

General Manager of Falkensteiner Hotel Stara Planina, Sinisa Milenkovic, said that he is very pleased with the visit, as well as the beginning of a new business year for the company.

“Good fun until the early morning hours confirmed that we both hit musical, and culinary tastes of visitors. Already today, all guests have the chance to wake up and continue to rest on the slopes near the hotel, “said Milenkovic after the event.

For those who wanted a quieter New Year’s Eve entertainment, Falkensteiner enabled free use of the Acquapura Spa Centre in which the visitors could enjoy in pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, relaxation room as well as fitness room.

To the top with first Gondola in Serbia

Ski slopes and trails for hiking begin at already 20m distance from the hotel. Guests are transferred by first gondola in Serbia, to the beginning of the path, which leads to a new four-seater, transporting skiers directly to the top Babin zub (1758m) and trail Rudine. From there it is possible to ski to the already well-known tracks Sun Valley and Konjarnik or to the hotel. Total length of ski trails for now is 13km and all systems are equipped with artificial snow.
