“Fight Against Fraud and Corruption” Conference will be held from 20th to 21st November 2014 in Metropol Palace Hotel in Belgrade, Serbia.
The dramatic events affecting the world economy have led to a much greater awareness of the widespread existence of unethical business behavior, fraud, bribery and corruption. Whilst visible management bonuses at Banks and Financial institutions have often been the target of public anger, the truth is that “invisible” Fraud and Corruption is a far greater cost and un managed risks. Arguably, efforts to combat fraud and corruption in the past decade have been rather ineffective.
Fraud and Corruption includes and encompasses false payments, fraudulent loans, mortgage fraud flipping, leasing fraud, deliberate overcharging, fake invoices, bribery, kickbacks, false rebates and warranty claims, conflicts of interests, false reporting and much more. There is broad acceptance that unethical business behavior directly or indirectly accounts for major losses and at worse can threaten the survival of an organization. On the macroeconomic scale fraud and corruption interferes with economic development, trapping people in perpetual poverty.
The purpose of this interactive and vocational conference is to help managers in companies and Institutions defend their organizations against the threats of fraud and corruption.
Participants will learn:
• How to be able to understand which methods of fraud your organization is most vulnerable to across all your processes and departments;
• How to help develop and participate in effective anti-fraud and integrity programs;
• Being able to detect and spot the early warning signs of fraud and corruption.
